David and I were fortunate enough to visit the orangutan rehabilitation centre in Bukit Luwang, Sumatra in 1995.

I wanted to bring an awareness to the continued work that is going on here even though the centre is now closed. The orangutans that were rehabilitated from this station still return and you can visit and watch them being fed. It is truly an amazing experience.

This is Makka, he regularly came down to the river during our stay to meet the people who had come to admire these wonderful creatures.
